ISO 10077-2:2017 specifies a method and gives reference input data for the calculation of the thermal transmittance of frame profiles and of the linear thermal transmittance of their junction with glazing or opaque panels.
ISO 10077-2:2017 does not include effects of solar radiation, heat transfer caused by air leakage or three-dimensional heat transfer such as pinpoint metallic connections. Thermal bridge effects between the frame and the building structure are not included.

If you are interested in using WINDOW and THERM for EN 673 / ISO 10077 calculations, that option is available in WINDOW. The calculation is not fully automated in the program yet, so there are many steps and a spreadsheet for the final calculation. We are interested in feedback (email WINDOWHelp@lbl.gov) about the process and the results from anyone who tests this feature.
Windows around the world get tested and certified using different criteria: Australia uses the North American NFRC (National Fenestration Rating Council) system, Europe uses ISO 10077-2 and ISO 15099, then there is the Passive House Criteria and ift Rosenheim Directive WA15/2. How do you know you get the best window for your build?
ISO 10077 (1 and 2) is for calculating U-value only by using a simplified method and less accurate algorithms than the more accurate ISO 15099. The ISO 15099 calculates total product thermal qualities U-value, total energy transmittance and visible light transmittance.
2ff7e9595c
